We are looking for strong, reliable artists to create 'visual reviews/responses' to writing they have encountered. The brief is very flexible - whether these responses take a graphic novel-type panel form, or that of a set of photos, or are paintings in oils/watercolour/acrylic, simple pen/pencil illustrations, or even sculptures is entirely up to you. The writing may also be novel, poetry, drama - anything that inspires you. We simply ask that the responses be visually stimulating and intriguing and are born/sourced in some fashion out of a written text.
This is a chance to get in right at the start of a burgeoning new venture, and could lead to other illustrative and related work for interested parties, or even artist profiles in future editions of the magazine. Although there will be only one piece picked for each issue, there are many issues to come, and we are happy to accept work in advance of future publication, so as many submissions as you wish to send are welcome.
