Hi,
About three years ago I visited London and I think I'd like to move there in around 2012. (I have another year of school, then I'd like two years experience in the work force so it would be easier to find a job when I move).

I would only be living there for 1-2 years, I'm not planning on permanently staying there, but I feel this is something I need to do before I do settle down where I grew up. I'd like to hear from any one from the states that has moved to Great Britain and whether you are glad you did it or regretted it, and any suggestions any Londoners might have for me, namely; visa issues, places to live in town, what I should expect to pay for rent, etc.

(I would be moving there with my boyfriend and a dog, if that helps)

Like I said it's a long ways away but I like to plan ahead.
