We have decided to celebrate Burns Night again at the Jackdaw and Star with our informal version of a Burns Supper.
Sugarshack have prepared a special Burns Night Menu:
Starters - Cullen Skink tart and pickled apple or Braised Leek and Mull of Kintyre Cheddar custard tart.
Mains - MacSween Haggis, neeps mousse and tatties or Vegetarian haggis, neeps mousse and tatties.
Dessert - Cranachan syllabub Raspberries, Whisky cream and toasted oats
(2 courses for GBP 24 and 3 courses for GBP 29.50).
Whiskies from some of our favourite Scottish Distilleries including Dalmore, Isle of Jura, Laprhoaig and Dalwhinnie.
Hosted by our friend Russell Brown there will be addressing of the Haggis, speeches, poems, songs and a special Burns Night music play list of "Aye-Tunes" celebrating the best of Scottish rock, pop, taps aff techno, soul, funk, happy hardcore and folk.
Tartan encouraged but not mandatory.
Dinner is served for everyone at 7.45pm
We ask for a deposit of GBP 10 per person when you book , with balance to be paid by 18th January
