This is a one-owner Mark VI alto that has original lacquer and is in excellent condition. There are no dents or past repairs on the horn. There is a line on the bell lip where the cracked lacquer shows a past repair of a dent on the bell lip. That's about it. Besides that, there is only very minor lacquer wear anywhere on the horn.
This sax has a fresh overhaul done by Matt Stohrer, who is one of the best saxophone techs in the business. Google his name to find out about his reputation. I would put his work up against anyone-- he repadded my personal soprano, alto and tenor, if that tells you anything (and his work is not cheap). It has precision pads with the original domed metal resonators. The original neck with matching serial number has not been damaged or pulled down.
The tone on this horn is dark and complex with a focused core, and a lot of power and projection. Intonation is good, and altissimo is easy.
